TRAVEL & LOGISTICS

Although TRAVERSE RUN is a 5-day event, registration includes food and accommodation for 8 days and 7 nights (10th - 17th June), as well as all transport throughout the event.

Racers should arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) on Tuesday, 10th June.

Departure flights or other travel should be scheduled after 18:00 on Tuesday, 17th June. Flights departing before 18:00 will incur extra charges for early transport and may require travel on 16th June (immediately after completion of stage 5).

Additional nights in Tanzania (pre- or post-race) can be booked as add-ons at registration. We encourage you, too, to consider making the most of your time in Tanzania by booking a wildlife safari or Kilimanjaro climb. Discounted TRAVERSE participant packages will be made available in September.

RACE VILLAGES

Accommodation is in five race villages complete with tents, comfortable ground mattresses, toilets, and shower facilities.

Food in race villages is fresh, delicious, and plenty. The coffee is hot, and the beers are cold (and included in entry). Our chefs have years of experience cooking in the backcountry and do not disappoint. We also provide for guests with dietary restrictions.

TRAVERSE RACE GUIDE

We will release the TRAVERSE Race Guide in November, chock full of useful information like GPX files, feed zone details, expected temperatures, suggested packing lists, compulsory kit, and wildlife you can expect to see during the race.
